Why Chelsea and Arsenal risk missing out on top four

Image
After facing defeats to Crystal Palace and Watford respectively, the two London clubs face a hard test as they play catch up with the two Manchester clubs who lead the race in the Premier League title. Both managers Lost their 8th fixtures of the season  Chelsea and Arsenal now sit in 5th and 6th respectively and both 9 points a drift leaders Manchester City who sit on 22 points after 8 games with Manchester United trailing the leaders on 20 points. Although its too early in the season, it is clear to see that Chelsea and Arsenal are not serious title contenders this season with the type of teams they are dropping points against. Before Crystal Palace won at home against Champions Chelsea, they had failed to score a single goal in the entire 7 games this season, but managed to open their campaign against Antonio Conte's side who had their own injury problems to ponder. Loosing a game of that stature just shows how Chelsea are not putting in a lot o work to get results as

Chelsea Injury problems are just a start of what is to come

Chelsea have lost Kante and Morata to hamstring injuties                 /Courtesy  After loosing Alvaro Morata to a hamstring injury in the home defeat to Manchester City, the Premier League Champions have now lost N'golo Kante on International Duty to the same hamstring injury. In their successful run to the premier league title in the 2016/17 season, Chelsea only had the Premier League as the most important league to fight for week in and out as they had not qualified for a Champions League spot in the previous season. Now with Manager Antonio Conte putting all his trust on the starting XI, this only means that the same players are going to play twice a week with less rotation as they fight to defend their title and have a good run in their Champions League. The troubles that comes with maintaining the same starting XI will show late into the end of the first leg of the season, when players will have accumulated too many number of games leading to muscle injuries and fat

Why loosing Mane means Liverpool will lose against Manchester United

Sadio Mane                                   /COURTESY Liverpool face Manchester United at home in the early kick-off on Saturday, 14th October, but will be without Star man Sadio Mane after loosing him to an Injury while on international duty with Senegal. This means Liverpool will go into the game missing one of their biggest outlet especially when it comes to the big games of the season just after he was named in the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon D'or award alongside teammate and Brazilian International Philippe Coutinho. Having had a good start to the season, Mane's troubles started after being sent off in a game against Manchester City, after he was judged to have gone to hard into a tackle with City goalkeeper Ederson. Liverpool received a thrashing from the Citizen thereafter and lost mane to a three game suspension. Sunderland are wise to keep Moyes, here is why

Image
Sunderland Manager David Moyes is having his worst season. Photo: Courtesy Many will question why Sunderland have been the only bottom six club, not to sack their manager even after loosing matches week in, week out. To add further salt to injury, Moyes was the subject of threats made to a lady Journalist from BBC, by claiming that she would have gotten a slap if she continued asking 'questions' seemingly not pleasing to the eyes of the former Manchester United Manager. It is clear that everybody associated with Sunderland is sure of the club playing in the Championship next season. The club board have hence seen this and thought to themselves "we do stand a chance of promotion in the 2018-2019 season, if we keep Moyes as boss. David Moyes does have a good reputation of bringing up and strengthening teams from the championship after what he did at Everton. We have to agree that Sunderland have an aging squad aand need to rebuild and the Championship, under Moyes

Kloop must have been crazy to let Sakho leave

Image
Mamadou Sakho has been in impressive form lately. After playing for the under 23's in the better part of the season, Mamadou Sakho left out on loan in January to relegation threatened  Crystal Palace. Sakho was not able to brake into the first team immediately but after he did, 5 games on, he has not lost any of the games and recently helping Palace take all the three points from champions elect - Chelsea. Jurgen Kloop has been having problems at the back all season, derailing The Reds chances in fighting for the title. Surely after watching Sakho, the 'Rock' in Palace's defense, he might be kicking himself for letting his pride get in the way of quality. Whats even worse, word has it that Sakho is not wanted anymore at Anfield and is subject to a 30million Euros move away from the club in the summer. Crystal Palace don't seem to be a club to spend that much in the defense even though they bought Belgian Striker, Christian Benteke for much more. Sakho woul

Why Jose Mourinho is killing Manchester United Spirit

Image
A frustrated Jose throws his arms up in disbelief. First and foremost, the result in the last game against West Bromwich Albion was not something any Man United fan or player would be happy about. The performance was slightly okay, but the fact that the players could not brake down Tony Puli's wall was not something new to the Old Trafford faithful. Manchester have not been able to win in  matches at old Trafford this campaign hence the fact that they lay behind in fifth for competition of the four champions league places. Being a difficult season, Jose Mourinho's media shame of his players for poor performances and being critical of under whelming stars such as Luke Shaw is just not helping his side. Luke Shaw is one of the stars having a difficult season after a long term injury layoff. Mourihno is known for this type of wars against players and this type of tussles don't help motivate the players. As a manager, Jose should be ready to take the blame for h
