Daniel Sturridge travels to United States for treatment on thigh injury
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has travelled to the United States in an effort to quicken his return from injury in time for a January comeback. The Merseyside club sent Sturridge to Los Angeles with club medical staff where the warmer climate will aid the recovery of the thigh problem that has plagued him throughout his career. Sturridge has missed most of the season, starting just three games for his club. He broke down on England duty in August and suffered setbacks when he was stepping up his recovery for his club. "He has gone away to get some specific work in with some of our staff and he is coming along well," Rodgers said on Thursday. With Sturridge out, Rickie Lambert will continue to lead the Liverpool strikeforce against Sunderland on Saturday. story by, the telegraph
