Lovren missing his penalty Liverpool had tried to calm the game and wait for a chance to get them the crucial away goal that would had probably seen them proceed to the round of 16 easily. The chances did come but Liverpool faile to take them at times having far too many touches in the Besiktas 18 box and hence loosing the ball.
