In their successful run to the premier league title in the 2016/17 season, Chelsea only had the Premier League as the most important league to fight for week in and out as they had not qualified for a Champions League spot in the previous season. Now with Manager Antonio Conte putting all his trust on the starting XI, this only means that the same players are going to play twice a week with less rotation as they fight to defend their title and have a good run in their Champions League.
