Gerrard blames team general perfomance for the poor show in UCl.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has blamed the whole team for  poor show in the champions league that sees them not going through to the knockout stage. this is after the draw against Basle at home and the loss to the same team away due to an easy goal scored in the dying minutes of the game.
When asked if they deserved to win, Gerrard said: “No. I don’t think we deserved better. We haven’t gone out of the competition because of our performance tonight. You always qualify over the six games and unfortunately we haven’t been good enough. The Liverpool  defense struggled again to keep a clean sheet and payed for their mistakes as Liverpool were also reduced to 10men after Lazar Markovic controversial 61st-minute dismissal. This was just after he had come on to replace Rickie Lambert.

Liverpool now will try their lick in the Europa league that they have found difficult to brake in recent years.
